1956 canadian nickel value?
What is its value? are there any other coins that aren’t super old that are valuable?

Even with no wear on the coin, you’d probably get less than $1.50 for it. With wear, maybe 10 or 15 cents at the most.
With any coin, the value is determined by how many are available in a particular grade, and how many people want to buy it.
With American coins, I can’t think of any circulation coins going back to about 1950 that are really "valuable" that aren’t 1) error coins, and 2) high-grade uncirculated coins. Both of those types are valuable because of their rarity. Dimes, quarters, and half dollars from 1964 and earlier are valuable because they’re 90% silver, but most of them trade for not much more than their silver value.
With Canadian coins, the only one I can think of would be the 1973 "Large Bust" quarter
