1967 Canadian penny (with a bird on the back)?
I have a 1976 canadian penny, and instead of having a maple leaf, it has a bird on the back. I think it might be some anniversary coin since it says 1867~1967 at the bottom, but I’m not sure. I’ve seen other pictures in the quarter,loonies, and toonies, but never pennies. Can somebody explain to me about this one? (and maybe tell the value if it has some value on it)

This was Canada’s 100th centennial year, and the coins all had different animals that year. There were actually a whole bunch of them made, and people horde them. I have quite a few of the pennies with the loon on them, and nickles with the Arctic Hare, and so on.
They actually are not worth all that much, as there are many out there. It will be worth more than one cent, just because of the amount of copper in it, but, that’s about it.
Still, I’m saving mine!
Yes you are correct it is a centennial penny. There are also other coins with animals celebrating 100 years.
It’s a centennial penny, and unless it’s BU, it’s worth a penny.
