1996 canadian 2$ coin when will it be worth alot?
I decided to keep a 2$ coin from 1996 in canada.. When could it be worth something? I thought of keeping it for my grand children( in 60-70years)

Nobody can be sure what something is going to be worth in 60 or 70 years, but there were over 375 million of them minted, so I’m guessing that in 60-70 years, it’s not going to be worth a lot over face value if it’s got any wear on it at all.

It may be quite a while before this coin is worth more than the $2 face value. However, any coin dealer (such as the referenced site) may be able to give you an idea. A coin’s value is determined by how many people want to posses it and how many there are. I’m guessing that there were quite a few minted, so I think that time will tell if it increases in value.
