No. While they are technically legal tender, they are not used in regular circulation. Most stores would not accept them, because they probably wouldn’t even know what it was. If you bring it to a bank though, you can exchange it for 2 quarters.
not at all. they are more like collectors items and places will not accept them as a form of payment because they are so uncommon. i have actually never seen one in my life
No. They are legal, and only worth 50 cents, but, nobody uses them in real life.
Very rarely. Quarters are used, loonies are used and toonies are used, but for some reason, the canadian half dollar coin was never very popular.
They ARE legal currency and the CAN be used if people wish to however they are not normally used and are reserved primarily as collector items. That and "silver dollar" coins although our normally $1 coin is used daily.

They are not, and I am too young (26) to ever remember a time that they were, so it’s been a while.
Pretty sure they can still be used, but no one uses them. More a collectors thing now.
