Unfortunately, most of the stuff that you have is common enough that the coins would have to be uncirculated (meaning no wear at all) for them to be worth much of anything over the silver value. That would be about $2 for each of the dimes, and around $5 for the quarters. The 1937 dime might bring $3, and that’s only if the only wear is on the highest parts of the coin.
The only exception is the 1859 cent. If you can read all of the letters in "LIBERTY" on the headband clearly, it might bring you $20 or so if you sold it to a dealer. If the only wear is on the end of the ribbon (down by the bottom of the portrait), it might fetch $40-$50.
All those prices are "ballpark" estimates. A dealer might legitimately offer you more or less, depending on circumstances.
And whatever you do, don’t try to clean or "improve" the coins in any way. Cleaning damages the coin, and kills any collector value it might have.
its funny that people STILL spend old money, when they should keep it. I collect old money- 1905 & 1910 Canadian pennies are the oldest I have. I also have a 1932 Canadian penny, that I found. Whenever I go to the m,all, where there is a gentleman set u almost every day, who sells old money, he charges one or two dollars more than face value for bills, and face value for coins. If you had bigger bills that aren’t made anymore, such as the $1000, it is worth MUCH more than $1000, if, of course, it has the Queen’s ‘devil hair.’ The Queen’s hair on the $500, and $1000 dollar bills had a Devil Face in it. These are RARE bills, that you don’t see many of. These are the bills you HAVE to keep, because they will just increase in value.
I hope that helped. If you need more help, feel free to email me.
"Mint" condition? ok.
Anything is only worth what someone else is willing to give you for them. If no one wants these, they are pretty much worthless. You can’t even use them as currency if no one will accept them anymore — as they did when we lost the dollar bill. If you can find someone that will take these for a price you are happy with, then that is what they are worth. The coin itself has little value. It only represents something of more value — the gold- which is stored somewhere else. And even the gold does not have much value, unless we think it does.
