How much is a 1946 Canadian Silver Dollar worth?
I was looking on the internet at a Canadian silver dollar. I was just wondering if anyone knows how much it is worth? It is graded at I.C.C.S MS 60 and is from 1946. http://london.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-art-collectibles-COINS-LARGE-HIGH-GRADE-LOT-W0QQAdIdZ248474085# this is the ad i am looking at.

Value seems to be in the $85-$100 range. Some MS-60 coins are better than others, even if graded by so-called professional grading services. That is why prices vary on the same type of coin, in the same grades. Hope this helps
If you are in Canada, you’ll be OK buying a ICCS rated coin, but if you’re in the States, don’t touch it. The US market wants coins graded by PCGS or NGC and discounts everything else.
MS60 is the lowest grade of Mint State and you would pay around $100 for one in a PCGS holder, give or take $10. Earlier this year, an NGC 61 sold for $120 plus 15% BP, and a PCGS 62 for $130 plus 15% BP at a large, non-eBay auction site.
If you can get the coin for $70 or less, you should be OK. I wouldn’t go any higher than $70.
OK, I looked at the ad. The two half dollars are nice and would be close to $300 for both if they were PCGS. So you’re looking at close to $450 for the three, IF they were PCGS and they’re not. As they are, graded by ICCS, I would value them at no more than $300. The last one, the 1975, I don’t know how rare that ‘variety’ is, but I highly doubt that it’s going to be worth the additional $300 that this guy wants for the lot of them. And that’s not the way to buy coins, anyway, in lots, unless you’re a dealer for resale. I see no money to be made here.
