For the silver content….about 17 or 18 times the face value so about $4,25 cdn.
After 1967, Canadian coins silver content went down by a large percentage, so pre 1967 coins are sought for their metal value by buyers.
That is the current price offered in Toronto by silver buyers, by the way.

It’s still legal tender so it’s worth 25 cents. There are people who collect such coins but they have to be in perfect condition. I’ll take a chance and offer you 30 cents Canadian for it.
$5 for F to $25 for uncirculated.
Depending on condition it might be worth more but the silver content is probably about 35 cents now.
I have a 1912 Canadian penny and it’s worth about a cent
A whopping 25 Cents, maybe a little more if it’s in good condition, but they’re still very common.
1948 is a key date. few coins were made that year. It’s value depends on condition. it could be worth several hundred dollars.
