What are people's thoughts on this new $5 coin?

I hear that Canada is replacing their lovely blue dollar note with a coin, just like they changed the note with a Toonie. Are Canadians happy with this, or are they annoyed? Why do you think they are replacing the note with a coin? Is it because of a weak currency?

I need help with homework. Problem is I have 12 coins that equal $5.60. What are the coins used? ?

I’m Canadian, so we have the following currency:
loonie= .00
toonie= .00
No fifty cents pieces to be used in this equation…
Then we have the standard quarter, dime, nickle, and penny.

Weird $2 Canadian Coin?

I found this strangely marked coin in my change and I’m wondering if this was a mint error or if someone has defaced this coin… here is an image of it:

On the back there is also a little bit of a curved clip on the core, but it doesn’t seem to be visible in this picture.

why won’t us. banks accept canadian $2 dollar coin?

i work as a server in america at an applebees restaurant, and yesterday, a customer gave me a Canadian coin (aka toonie) as gratuity. i went to my bank (wachovia) and tried to deposit it, but the teller flatly refused to accept it. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screwed over too, because
