If the US enters hyperinflation, can silver coins be used as money?
I have silver coins such as the American Eagle, Buffalo, and Canadian Maples. The us constitution has the coinage act, which states that copper and silver coins are considered as money to pay off debt. According to Article I Section 8 of the US Constitution the Congress is responsible for "To coin money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the Standards of Weights and Measures;" and further "To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current coin of the United States;"
