Article by Alok

Victoria is set to host the Canadian Figure Skating Championships and the Junior Nationals in January, 2011. The events will be held at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. This marks the third time Victoria has been chosen as the site for this event.

Canada’s performance at the 2010 Winter Olympics has fans excited for the return of their top performers.

Still undetermined, but expected to compete is Olympic bronze medalist, Joannie Rochette, who won the hearts of spectators everywhere with her courageous and nearly flawless performance at the Winter Games.

World champions, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, are also likely to take part in the competition. The pair earned the first ever gold medal for a North American ice dancing team after many memorable performances in 2010.
