There is actually no free sites to go to. The sites available are usually dealers selling their coins. They would not pay that amount to you. You can go to all the sites that person listed but it would be very time consuming. I can usually help out if a person has a few coins, but usually don’t have the time for a large list. On U.S. coins there are magazines out there to at least give one the idea of what their coins are worth, again they are about what a coin sells for. At least with them is you take off 40 to 50 percent you can figure out what you will get from a dealer. try Coins or Coinage magazines. On the Canadian coin it won’t be as easy at least here in the states. I have a few lists on coin prices from Canada and read up on them but they don’t show up often. See a Coin dealer but if a U.S. one he will not know anything about the coins from Canada. You can email with a small list if you like.
one place to go to is http://www.ha.com u have to sign up to look at the values but sign up is free and easy and is worth it. ebay is also a good place to go but ebay prices can be a little low.
