The coins are worth face value. So you have in your possession, 10 cents, 5 cents, 25 cents and one cent totaling 41 cents.
If you were to exchange them, they’re probably worth 41-43 cents US.
Your coins are worth exactly what they say they are worth-41 cents- today the Canadian dollar is worth $1.01 cents US but that does not prertain to coins. All Canadian coins have the reigning British king or Queen on them
A chart outlining the total value of your Canadian coins can be found here: http://culturalfuel.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/picard-facepalm.jpg
Are you for real?? U have 41 cents it would cost you $5 just to exchange your 41 cents maybe if your dime was from 1884 and had Queen Victoria it might be worth something. U couldn’t even buy a postage stamp with what u have
10 Cents.
5 Cents.
25 Cents.
1 Cent.
All those coins are current, Hell, I think I have all of them in my pocket right now. If you think they’re valuable because the Queen is on them, I must inform you that all Canadian coins have the current monarch on them, king, or queen. As they are the king/queen of UK, and the Commonwealth, including Canada. When the queen dies, Charles will be on the Canadian coins… (Not looking forward to having his flabby face on my Loonies, but that’s not important.)
Even a coin from the ’40s with the King George VI on it is only worth it’s face value. I have penny from 1917, it’s worth about $2.
Together: 41 cents.
None of these coins has any value above what is printed on the coin. Banks will not exchange foreign coins, but, they would be worth about 42 cents US.
The responses you got were perfectly correct. None of your coins is collectible - they are all too new and too current to be worth anything more than face value. And as the Canadian dollar is currently higher than the American dollar, if you tranrslated it into US currency they would be worth slightly more than face value. So you would probably get 43 US cents for your coins.
However, most money changers won’t touch change - they only handle bills.
No banks/exchanges will do an exchange on change. It is done at face value, so your 5 cents is worth 5 cents, penny is worth a penny, etc…
they are only worth the face value and no one will cash them for you they only take notes
