What can I do about counterfeit coins I bought?
I recently bought some counterfeit coins through an online intermediary. They were fakes. I purchased them thinking they were real, and was never told to the contrary. What legal action can I now take?
They were verified by a reputable dealer as fakes, but I don’t think it is a company. I’m pretty sure it’s only one person or a small group.

IF you have enough knowledge of the coins to be able to prove that they are fake or have them verified as fakes by a reputable coin collector….
IF you can locate the company that sold them to you. Most likely if they also knew that they were fakes, as soon as they got your money & sent you the junk, they fled the country. With your & everyone else’s money that got caught up in that scam……
THEN you can sue them for fraud.
You may want to notify the Better Business Bureau & file a complaint with them. You may not be the only person scammed by this company.
You can sue them in court. depending on the amount of value, would determine if it be worthwhile to turn them into the police. The police could be involved, this is fraud and can be criminally prosecuted.
